
Southern-Style Pig Rub
A classic pork rub that is perfect for smoked pork roasts and is especially good for pulled pork.

Ingredients
- 2 cups paprika
- 1/8 cup cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup coarse ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup white pepper
- 1/8 cup onion powder
- 1/4 cup garlic salt
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/8 cup dry mustard
Steps
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients. Rub enough mixture on meat to thoroughly coat. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Remove from refrigerator and coat again with rub mixture. Leftover rub can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
