Country of Origin Labeling (COOL)

Under a new United States law all muscle cuts and ground meats for retail sales must be identified by the retailer with the animals' country of origin (COOL). Because Smithfield only sells pork products from animals born, raised and processed in the United States, all of our Fresh Meat products will be labeled as "Product of USA." We are in the process of assisting our retailers in complying with these requirements. This also provides easy identification for our customers who are looking for 100% American meat.
