Smithfield Voluntarily Recalls its Portobello Mushroom Pork Filet Because of Possible Health Risk

Smithfield Packing Company of Clinton, NC, and Tar Heel, NC, is voluntarily recalling 216,238 pounds of Portobello Mushroom flavored pork loins because some of the product may contain an unlabeled allergen, whey, a known dairy allergen. Portobello Mushroom Flavored Pork Loin Filets affected by this recall include Smithfield packages with EST. 413 or EST. 18079 on the label and were distributed in retail outlets in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
