Smithfield and Paula Deen Distribute 1 Million Servings of Meat to Needy Families Across America

 

 

Smithfield  Foods has partnered with Paula Deen and America's Second Harvest - The Nation’s Food Bank Network - to deliver one million servings of meat to needy families across the nation.

 

The 10-city tour kicked off in January in Savannah, where Paula and her family, along with volunteers from the local America’s Second Harvest food bank, unloaded 500 Smithfield spiral hams to help the hungry. This tour will distribute 250,000 pounds of meat products with an estimated retail value of over $1 million.
