Tried the red velvet and cream cheese combination. Not very good at all. These are not as easy to dip as it seems...very time consuming. Will not make these again.

I made chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and melted peanut butter chips for the outside coating. Excellent combination! I took it to a cook out with freinds and it was a big hit. Everyone commented on how pretty they were and they loved them!! The kids couldn't stay out of them!! A little time consuming but great for parties and family get togethers!!

I made these for a potluck today (Friday) and EVERYONE raved about them!! I baked and crumbled them Wednesday and then coated them Thursday and everyone still thought they were "sinful". I made frosting myself but I will do store bought next time to save myself time and no one will be the wiser! Also do not skip the freezing step I missed that and mine were a little crumbly but still tasted out of this world! : )

I've made cupcake and brownie balls before. They can last almost a month if you use Belgium chocolate.

I don't know why but my finished product was "sweaty" and cake oozed out of small holes in the coating. Other recipes did not tell you to refrigerate after coating. I think I will try that next time. They were yummy, though!

These treasures were served at book club last night...OHHH MYYYY GOODNESS!!!!! The cake balls will be talked about for years to come, as they are unforgettable, amazing, sinful...they are on my list for my 'last meal'. :)

I was wondering does anybody know how long they last in the freezer? how far in advance can i make them an they still be great. I want to make them them for christmas when i do all my other baking.or do i need to wait an have just a whole day of making them a day before?

I think homemade frosting sounds like a delicious idea. I don't think it would change the recipe at all.

I'm not a fan of store-bought frosting. Can this be done with homemade frosting as well?

My neighbor made these this weekend and they were AWESOME! She did a coconut cake mix with vanilla icing and then dipped them in either white or milk chocolate. They were so good. The chocolate covered ones tasted like a Mounds bar!
