Tossed greens with turkey, bacon and blackberry vinargrette

Serves: 4-6
Cook Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Smithfield regular sliced bacon
  • 8-12 slices of Smithfield Mesquite turkey breast lunch meat
  • 1 large bag of pre-mixed salad greens
  • 1 small container of grape tomatoes
  • 1 cup of blackberries
  • 1 cup balsalmic vinargrette
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup of oil(olive oil if available)
  • Blue cheese crumbles for topping if desired

Steps

For Salad:
Remove Smithfield regular slice bacon from package
and slice into 1 inch pieces
Place into skillet and cook until browned and crispy
Remove bacon from skillet and drain on paper towels
Take the slices of Smithfield Mesquite Turkey breats and slice into thin strips
Take salad greens and seperate into equal parts between guests
Place slices of Smithfield Mesquite Turkey breats, bacon crumbles,
and grape tomatoes on top of greens.

For Dressing:
In food processor, add blackberries, sugar and balsalmic vinargrette.Pulse until
well combined, and no large pieces of berry remain.
Slowly add oil till well blended.
Drizzle on top of salad and top with bleu cheese crumbles if desired.
