1. Heat oil in a medium skillet over Medium-High. Sprinkle pork with paprika and pepper. Brown pork on all sides, about 4 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, place cabbage in a 3 ½- to 4-quart slow cooker. Mix together ale, brown sugar and caraway seeds until sugar has dissolved; pour over cabbage.
3. Place pork on top of cabbage. Cover and cook on High for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours (Low: 9 to 11 hours).
4. Pull pork apart in large pieces and serve with cabbage mixture.
