1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. In small saucepot over medium-low heat, whisk butter into maple syrup until butter has melted. Add confectioners sugar gradually, whisking until smooth. Allow glaze to cool to room temperature to thicken before using.
2. Separate strips of bacon & lay out flat in single layer, without overlapping, on lightly sprayed & foil-lined rimmed baking pan. Bake for 14-18 minutes or until desired doneness, rotating pan halfway through cooking. Remove bacon from pan with spatula while warm, draining briefly on absorbent paper.
3. Dip tops of doughnuts into glaze & top each with two half strips of bacon.
Chef’s Tip:
For even crispier bacon, cook bacon on lightly sprayed baking rack placed over foil-lined pan. Try taking your bacon doughnuts to the next level by adding chopped toasted pecans or chocolate shavings before the glaze sets for a little extra indulgence!
