Hello, I'm Summer.. a happily married girl who moved to a small town and started blogging.

I write my own little show and tell blog, where I like to make lists, share my favorite recipes, document everyday life, and rave about things I love. Playing housewife is my favorite thing, as vintage as that may seem. Truly, making a home is the most fulfilling job I've ever had. I'm convinced I was created for it. Home is the place where I thrive and flourish. My husband and I are quite happy in our little house- I love to bake, he loves to keep an immaculate lawn, and life is simple.

One of the best parts about homelife is, of course, the food. I love food! I love making it, photographing it, eating it, and since I was a little girl, I've loved feeding people. There's something so sweet about someone else enjoying the fruit of your labor. And now that I'm married and have my own kitchen, being able to cook for my husband everyday is such a thrill.

Another aspect I love about food is knowing what's in what I'm eating. And when you make it yourself, you will know! Homemade food can be such a happy spot in the everyday, and it doesn't have to be hard. There's nothing better than a simple square meal. That's what I like to focus on. Nothing that requires rare ingredients or fancy skills- just real, good food.

More things you should know about me:

• During the school year, along with keeping house, I help teach preschoolers. During the summer, I work at a Bible camp with my husband. (I'm at camp right now!)

• Thanks to camp, I have experience in the enterprise of cooking for two, or two hundred.

• I love to use peanut butter and garlic, but not together. 

• The farmers' market is one of my favorite things, along with thrifting, and baking bread. 

• I enjoy good grammar, nice manners, and reading books. 

• I like to have music wherever I go.
