Creamy Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse
September is a hard time to navigate when it comes to food because it's not quite fall but it isn't really summer either. The cravings for comfort food are making their way back but you're not quite ready to let go of the ease of summer cooking.
I think this creamy mousse is the perfect dessert to bridge the gap. It takes only 10 minutes to prepare and then chills out for a couple of hours in the fridge before you dig in. The deep chocolate flavor and the richness of cream cheese bring the comfort of fall while the cool creaminess helps you enjoy the last remnants of summer.
Add some late summer berries and a sprinkling of nuts and you have that little bit of sunshine to ward away the back-to-routine blues.
