Helping Hungry Home Update
Smithfield has been traveling around the country this holiday season providing donations to local food banks. Our next two stops will be in Atlanta, GA on December 13th at the Hosea Feed the Hungry organization, and in Richmond, VA on December 15th at the Central Virginia Food Bank. Both organizations will be receiving 120,000 servings of protein to help those in need.
Hosea Feed the Hungry was founded by the civil right leader Rev. Hosea Williams and his wife Juanita and currently serves over 50,000 people a year. The Central Virginia Food Bank, as a part of the Feed More umbrella organization, provides hunger relief to the Central Virginia area. Through a variety of feeding programs, they are able to reach children, families and seniors who are most vulnerable to hunger. Smithfield and the UFCW are proud to support the efforts of both of these organizations and hope you will join us at the donation.

SMITHFIELD, Va (WVBT) - Smithfield Hams has dedicated itself to donating over 150,000 pounds of protein across the country to expand awareness of families in need in a project entitled "Helping Hungry Homes". Today they will be handing out an entire truck load of proteinat the S. Independence Blvd. Farm Fresh!
