Butterfly Garden Tablescape

Fresh and clean, with vibrant pastels, this is a lush table garden.

  1. Place the flat of wheatgrass on a work surface. Use a sharp knife to cut it into three sections. Pieces of burlap should be cut large enough to line the bottoms of the wheatgrass sections and fold up around the roots of the plant. Using a square of plastic wrap between each piece of burlap and the bottom of the plant will keep any moisture or dirt from coming in contact with the burlap or the table.
  2. Fold the burlap up and around the sections to hide the roots; tie the burlap with strips of green ribbon. Arrange down the center of the table.
  3. Trim the stems of the snapdragons and insert them into water pics; stand them up in the wheatgrass. Arrange the butterflies on the grass.
  4. Set the table with the tablecloth, plates, napkins, glasses, and flatware.
  5. Write names on the place cards and clip them to the butterflies with clips. Prop them up on the serving plates.
