Turn Granny Smith apples into whimsical vases by simply coring them and filling with daisies to mark guests' places at the table. An arrangement of baskets, apples and daisies makes a fresh centerpiece. The flowers will last several days if you place them in water picks from the florist before arranging them in the apples and baskets.

I like this simple idea. I am going to try it with some apples of varigated color. Such as pink ladys or fuji apples just because I think that they are easier to eat and if someone was prone to eat the centerpiece it would be more enjoyable than the granny smith.
